Join us for the November meeting. Hear about many fiber related things such as; Federation, what we donated to the Gala, what weaving classes will be taught in Buffalo this winter, and a little project to do as a guild. Bring your wheel, needles, loom or hook and prepare for an evening of fun!
Fiber Fair is coming up soon, and some of the members of WFA are planning to carpool there and back. Get the information at the meeting, or check the blog for further details after Thursday.
Photos from October coming soon!
We meet in the Country Store day room at Parkview Care Center, on the first Thursday of the month, at 6:30pm. All are welcome to join us!

We hope to plan the next years programs, and share Show and Tell from the county and state fair. There are also a few opportunities to demonstrate in the community, come and join us!

Crafternoon at Parkview
Our Crafternoon at Parkview went very well. We had over 20 residents participating, and Nancy, Barb, Naomi, Maddie and Jake, and their homeschooling friends Heather and her children Kevin, Ann, and Cassie. We made adorable owls and visited, and although I brought my camera along, I did not get a single photo! My blogable moment slipped away. If we are able to arrange another craft time at Parkview, we will publish it in the Wright Fibre News ahead of time, as well as giving notice on the blog.
Have a great day!
Naomi
PS I have to revise my Parkview poem:
It wasn't just ladies, the gents were there too,
making owls with pinecones, wiggly eyes, wool and glue.
They love crafts and visits, we'll do this again,
Make a memory and a project with the ladies- and men!
Thanks to all who made this craft day possible!
April 2nd Monthly Meeting
Here are the members who gathered this fine April day:
Nancy, our guest speaker, Nancy Walker and Barb Mainquist
Nancy finishing up the video portion of her presentation
watching the video from Heifer International
Greetings to all,
The monthly meeting included a special guest speaker, Nancy Steinke. Nancy volunteered at Heifer International for several weeks last year, and had a very interesting presentation for those in attendance.
We had a wonderful group, including some of the residents from assisted living that we had invited to attend. A lively discussion followed Nancy's presentation, with many questions and additional information provided by Nancy S and Nancy Driggans, who also was with us this evening.
We look forward to seeing any who can help at the Baby Animal Fair on the 26th, the last Sunday in April. The raffle is doing wonderfully well, (thanks to pre-fair sales by Sally and Barb) and we have several gorgeous items hand crafted by members of the Wright Fibre Artists donated to the raffle to raise money for Heifer International.
Thanks to all who have donated or are planning to donate items, Sally Stinson, Nancy Walker, Barb Mainquist, and Naomi Binsfeld. (I will update this list as I get more donations!)
Please, consider joining us to demonstrate weaving or spinning at the baby animal fair from 12 - 4. we would love to have enough volunteers to allow everyone time to roam.
If you are motivated to sell raffle tickets ahead of time, please contact Naomi. This raffle will help us with our goal of donating a second animal to Heifer.
See you at the Fair!
Naomi
